The Clinical Support Decision data model enables applications to provide real-time decision support to clinicians during their workflow. Applications use this data model to trigger alerts that will pop-up directly within the EHR after medication or procedure orders are placed.
In addition to displaying the general information appearing in the alert and any questions the application needs the provider to answer, this data model allows applications to insert a link to direct clinicians to outside resources (website, application, etc.).
